Tell us a bit about your career in hospitality/ technology and the journey to Su.
When I was growing up, a computer technician had arrived to upgrade our system. I remember spending hours pestering him with questions.
Loaded my first floppy disk that evening! I was hooked. From that moment, I realized the only work that would feel at home was tech.“
When I joined STAAH, I learned how hospitality business and tech were intertwined but the pandemic gave me the perfect opportunity to up-skill my business acumen by allowing me to return to university and finish my degree.
It seemed only right to rejoin STAAH’s sister concern company, Su, and work with the team to bring a revolution in the hospitality space.
What do you like most about Su and your job?
Su is a tight-knit family with an extremely large extended team, quite similar to my actual family making me feel home.
From day one, you are onboarded as someone valuable rather than just another cog in the machine. Speaking to my colleagues, from across Europe (and the world), I felt welcomed and was equipped to be successful in my job with in-depth training and constant mentoring from Franck and the rest of the team.
Being an SDR has its ups and downs but it’s always fun. Constantly interacting with c-level executives from across the globe gives you the exposure and opportunity to have direct conversations and interaction across all levels.
Your success mantra?
As a recent graduate, I can’t confidently say that I’ve found a success mantra.
The motivation of how new everything seems to be is plenty and every won deal constantly feeds that drive to be successful.
Your interests outside Su. Do they help you do your job better?
If I leave the house without my earphones, I tend to question my entire existence. From playing the ukulele to singing in the shower, music is a constant in my life.
My taste in music is quite over the place. Some mornings I’m listening to Frank and Queen. Other times, it’s RNB or German Techno.
I’d like to say that music fuels my creativity when trying to break the ice with new leads.
